Racoon Problems

The other day my family and I were all eating dinner when my brother Grant spotted a big racoon outside. Now for the past month or so now my dog Mini has been barking outside towards our porch and before we thought she was insane but now we realised that she knew that the racoon was there and she was barking at it. SO now we know that there is a big racoon living under our porch and it could very easily kill my dogs. (Why do you think that we named them Tiny and Mini) So we start to panic because racoons are vicous and there's a big one standing about 5 feet away from us on the back porch. Then my dad remembered how our neighbor had the same problem and how he had a trap that we could use to well, trap it. So after that my dad gives him a quick call and our friendly neighbors gladly let us borrow the trap so once we got it we put wet dog food in it to lure it into the trap and we set it outside. We didn't catch it that night but we caught it the next day. I was upstairs when I hear Mitchell (of course) yelling "We got it!" repeatedly so I came rushing down stairs then out back to see it. When I got outside I was nervous because even though it was in a cage they were still vicous so I kept my distance. After we cought it my dad loaded it into the back of his car and drove it at least 20 miles away to release it elsewhere. If you want to watch a vlog about it that my brother made Click Here
Update: There were 5 more baby racoons under our porch and we knew we had more hunting to do. We did the same thing that we did with the mom and eventually caught them all 2 at a time (with one loner). We released all of the babies at the same place and the pairs all leaned on eachother going the same way so we believe and hope that they all found eachother. Day of relaxation

Today my floors were being touched up so I had to spend the whole day up at my lake house with my family. I went shopping with my mom and I also went to get my allergy shots. When I got back I had a couple of nerf wars with my brother (I think I won). The rest of the day I just relaxed and watched some friends while eating cheese balls on the couch. I had a lot of fun today with my family and wish that everyday in life could be like this.
Zoey

I just finished with a wonderful weekend babysitting a lovely dog named Zoey. I have 2 very small dogs appropriately named Tiny and Mini. When Zoey came over, my dogs were as happy as can be. For being 2 completely different dogs Tiny and Mini share a lot in common. Tiny is older than Mini and is the chill dog that wants to relax. Mini is the troublemaker that only want to play. Yet despite their differences, they're both nice, sweet, cute and LOVED. Zoey is also a small dog, but still almost twice the size as Tiny and Mini somehow. Zoey was very playful like Mini and they spent a lot of time playing. Although sometimes Mini got too close to Zoey or Zoey got too close to Mini and they would start fighting. There was also a lot of barking and noises -- especially when Zoey and the neighbor dogs started barking at each other along the fence line, but we got them calm. We supervised them and separated them a bit when needed so all went well. It was a nice visit but the house quieted down. The dogs had a fun weekend and they are very sad that Zoey had to leave.
Wild Bird

A few days ago I was in my room when I hear my mom scream bloody murder. I come running down stairs to find a bird slowly dying in our backyard from flying into our window. The bird was trying to fly away but it just couldn't because it had sustained injury. When my other brothers arrive, my mom starts pleading with us to save it. I quickly run to get medical gloves so we won't get sick by touching it and Grant (my brother) goes to get a shoe box while Mitchell (my oldest brother) gets a pair of scissors to poke holes in the shoe box. When I get back with the medical gloves, Grant and Mitchell have the shoebox ready. We quickly rush outside and we find the bird. Mitchell picks it up while Grant holds the box. Mitchell examines the bird and we determine that it's wing and leg are both hurt. We rushed to the car to drive to the nearest animal hospital. When we arrive we find out that the place went out of business. "Oh no" I thought. We called our parents and they gave us another place to go to, but the problem was they didnt know the name of it. We went to where they said it was but couldn't find it. We called our parents again and found out that we misunderstood them and that we had gone to the wrong place. On our way to the actual place of the animal hospital, our parents call and told us that the bird probably has a concussion and that we have to stabilize it, which meant that we had to keep it steady by holding it with our hands. Grant holds the box in his lap so that Mitchell can reach over to hold it. Grant slowly opens the box at the red light and Mitchell reaches over to stabalize the bird. When Grant opens the box the bird flies out and starts flying around the car. We were all freaking out. The bird pooped on Grant's legs and then started flying around again. Finally after what felt like forever, the bird stopped flying and rested on the dashboard. The light turned green and we started driving. At the next red light we grab the bird and put it back into the box. After a few more minutes we arrived at the animal hospital and saved the bird. Grandmas Birthday

Today was my Grandma's 80th birthday. At the beginning of the day, I went and hung with the porcupine and K-mart. Then K-mart and I went to the park and played some pokemon go. After that we went up to the lake and went tubing and swimming. Later we went out to eat my Grandma's birthday dinner and had some REALLY good mexican food. My Grandma had a really good birthday and she couldn't believe she was already 80 years old.
Wood Floors

My entire first floor is having to be torn up and replaced with new wood because someone in my family overflowed the toilets. (Not saying who...) Anyway I went over to a friends house and we played a lot of basketball and some video games. After that I had some of the best chicken tenders in my life and also got free popcorn. I also watched the new Ghostbusters movie with some of my friends and I really enjoyed it. In 2 weeks I have to go back to school for school registration and that is when I find out my schedule and my teachers.Can't believe summer is almost over.
Family

I had a great day with my family. We went up to our lake house and spent time together relaxing with my grandma. We went to the park and played some soccer tennis and hit some dingers. We played some family cornhole and ate some noble romans breadsticks and had some pizza. Tomorrow we will head up to Ball State so my oldest brother can check it out.
Victory

Today I had victory over my mom (very rare) when she challenged me and 2 of my brothers to go into kroger with $40 and buy breakfast and lunch (she would provide dinner) for ourselves that would have to last for 5 days. We succesfully bought what we think would be enough food for ourselves but we will have to wait and see.
